Homemade Almond Milk – Simple, Quick, Easy, and Natural
Almond milk has become one of the more well known and used plant-based milk alternatives, for a good reason. The best part is that it is super easy to make your own Homemade Almond Milk!
Almonds produce the perfect neutral taste that can be used in savory or sweet recipes in comparison to other nut milks. Plus, Almond Milk is easier to make more naturally at home than soy or coconut milk!
As convenient as buying it from the store may seem, making your own Homemade Almond Milk is my preferred method. For one, it removes any unnecessary and unnatural ingredients that store bought milk may contain. In addition, store bought brands water down their Almond Milk, so by making your own you get to be in charge of exactly how thick and creamy you want your milk!
Give this homemade almond milk recipe a try the next time you need to use a nut milk for a recipe!

Tips and Tricks
- You may use cheesecloth to strain the almonds from the milk, but I recommend investing in a reusable nut bag. They are inexpensive and last a long time. Check out Ellie’s Best Bigger Better Nut Milk Bag.
- Buy your almonds in the bulk section of grocery stores to help save money (bonus if you bring your reusable containers or bags to fill out!)
- If you forget to soak your almonds overnight or just simply don’t have enough time, then you can soak your almonds covered in hot water for 10 minutes to help soften the nuts.
- Mess around with your ratio of almonds to water to get different consistencies and figure your preference.
