Chai Spiced Granola – Here to Complete your Morning Breakfast

Chai Spiced Granola – Here to Complete your Morning Breakfast

My go-to coffee order is a Dirty Chai Latte. If you haven’t heard of it before, it is a Chai Latte with a shot of espresso. One morning as I was sipping on my coffee and eating my morning yogurt granola bowl, it hit me. Why not combine the warmth of chai seasoning with granola! That’s how my chai spiced granola was born!

If you haven’t made your own granola before, do not worry it is far simpler than you think. If I can do it, so can you!

CHAI SEASONING

I adapted my original Homemade Granola Recipe by adding in some chai seasoning. Now, my Chai Spiced Granola encompasses the deliciously warm flavors of fall and winter. It’s an easy addition to make and an even bigger change in flavor.

IMPORTANCE OF HOMEMADE

I know it is easy to go to the store and buy yourself processed granola, but I challenge you to take the time to make your own. It is simple, quick, and actually much more affordable. Not to mention you know exactly what is going into your granola as opposed to many processed granolas out there.

This granola uses minimal ingredients to deliver a warm chai sensation that is 100% vegan, plant-based, and gluten-free. Get customizable with the recipe by substituting the nuts or seeds for something different.

TIPS & TRICKS

  • If you haven’t already looked into getting a reusable silicone baking mat, then I highly recommend you get one. It’s better than parchment paper and even better for our planet!

THE MORE YOU KNOW

Rolled Oats

Rolled Oats may be found in most grocery stores in the grains section. You may use Quick Oats, but the texture will turn out different.

Pumpkin Seeds

If you can not find Pumpkin Seeds try looking for raw Pepitas, which is just another name it could be under at the grocery store.

Coconut Shreds

Some coconut shreds can be sweetened, I recommend looking for an unsweetened version. As for the size of shreds it is all based on your personal preference. I prefer to use a more fine shred for my granola.
