Homemade Granola So Easy You Won’t Believe It!

Ever wondered what it takes to make your own homemade granola? Well it‘s not hard at all really, even I can do it! 🙂

My Granola Obsession

In all my life I absolutely hated granola and didn’t like it in my yogurt, oatmeal, or smoothie bowls. I never really ate granola and didn’t understand why everyone raved about it so much.

Just recently one day I decided to get some granola with my yogurt. I instantly and randomly became obsessed!

I was eating yogurt and granola 24/7, but I noticed I would get painful stomach aches afterwards. I soon realized that the aches were coming from the granola I was eating!

I cut the granola cold turkey, until one day I decided to try and make my own homemade granola. I looked up a few recipes and combined my favorite aspects and created this recipe! The best part is that I haven‘t had any stomach issues since!

What Type of Oats?

I recommend using Rolled Oats over Quick Oats because it is less processed. Rolled Oats will also hold its structure better and not disintegrate.

Save The Money And Cook At Home

I know it is very easy to buy ready made granola at the store, but it’s also much healthier to make some homemade granola instead. It is very simple, quick, and actually cheaper. I hope you enjoy this granola recipe as much as I do!

Homemade Granola

This simple homemade granola recipe is super easy to make and very healthy! It goes great with vegan yogurt, smoothie bowls, and anything else you want!

Ingredients

  • cup Rolled Oats
  • ½ cup Raw Pumpkin Seeds crushed
  • ½ cup Raw Pecans crushed
  • ½ cup Coconut Shreds unsweetened
  • ¼ cup Agave Nectar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl, combine your dry ingredients (oats, pumpkin seeds, pecans, and coconut shreds).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together your wet ingredients (agave, vanilla extract, cinnamon).
  • Pour the wet ingredients mixture into the large bowl of dry ingredients and make sure the dry ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Using a large baking pan with either parchment paper or a baking mat liner, layout the granola mixture evenly.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, then flip the granola using a spatula and bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
