Open can of Chickpeas and drain/rinse. For a smooth consistency, peel each chickpea by gently squeezing each chickpea to “pop off” the skins (this can actually be very soothing).
Add chickpeas, garlic, salt, lemon juice, and tahini to the food processor and blend.
Scrape the sides and continue to blend until everything is incorporated.
If possible, slowly add ¼ c of cold water while the blender or food processor is running. Add additional water, 1 tbsp at a time, until desired consistency, then ENJOY!
