Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts – A Great Sweet Balsamic Finish

Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts – A Great Sweet Balsamic Finish

I always find it fascinating to see what other families typically serve for their Thanksgiving meals. As classic as many Thanksgiving dishes may seem, there are always so many different variations. This year I created one of my favorite – Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts!

A particular common and under appreciated side dish is the green bean casserole. I can’t say whether it’s the “casserole” name or the unappealing image of green beans that pop into my head that automatically turns me off, but that was never served at my Thanksgiving dinner. In fact, I can’t recall even really having any sort of variation of the dish.

I decided to create a different type of seasonal greens dish for the special feast that I can guarantee everyone would love to try! Thankfully I never experienced the disgusting brussels sprouts era, but rather thrived living through the beautiful brussels sprouts glow-up! Whether you are frying or baking these delicious greens, all that matters is how you flavor them to taste absolutely delicious.

I believe in creating delicious, simple ingredients, and easy Thanksgiving side dishes because with the number of other dishes and preparation that needs to occur simultaneously, time is incredibly valuable. Therefore, I present Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts to jazz up your Thanksgiving feast!

THE MORE YOU KNOW

Maple Syrup

This is a great liquid sweetener to use in replacement of processed sugar. There are many other types of sweeteners you can use instead such as Agave or Stevia.

Balsamic Vinegar

Everyone knows about balsamic vinaigrette but you can actually buy balsamic vinegar on its own! For this recipe, this is a must. I highly recommend this in general though, because then you can also create your own delicious vinaigrettes!
