These Lemon Ginger Wellness Shots are a great way to kick off your day! I like to take them in the morning when I feel groggy, or just want a good digestive boost!

Nutritional Benefits

Wellness shots contain a lot of powerful antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals that can help elevate your day. These benefits are very similar to green juice, but in a more concentrated form. This is great for those of you that are always on the go.

Personally, I benefited a lot from wellness shots and juices in general. My skin cleared up, my metabolism got a nice boost, and my energy level is much higher!

How to Make at Home

You do not need to go out and buy a fancy juicer to make your own lemon ginger wellness shots successfully at home. 

If you have the budget to get one, then absolutely go for it. If not, then all you need is a Blender (a high-speed blender will always be the best) and a Nut Milk Bag, Cheesecloth, or even a clean tee shirt you don’t care about staining!

I recommend using a Nut Milk Bag because it is reusable so it is better for the environment and will save you money in the long run because Cheesecloths aren’t that cheap. Tee shirts can be used but they will also soak up some of the juice so I avoid this.

TIPS & TRICKS

  • Peel your ginger with the side of a spoon. I know it sounds weird, but it works great!
  • Add more or less of Lemon and Ginger to match your pallet.
  • Add more or less water or coconut water to your desired concentration.

Sometimes mornings require a little boost for energy, nutrition, vitamins, and minerals! These homemade lemon ginger wellness shots are easy-to-make, simple, nutritious, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Ginger Root
  • cup Lemon Juice
  • 2-3 tbsp Water or Coconut Water
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper optional

Instructions

  • Wash and optionally peel the ginger. If you peel the ginger, you can keep the pulp for later.
  • All all ingredients to a blender and blend!
  • Strain out the pump with a nut milk bag.
  • Store in an airtight container and ENJOY!
